• Preventive Care
Prevention should serve as a lifestyle pattern for total health, not the least of which is dental health. Preventive dentistry leads to improved long-term oral health and reduced dental costs. It encourages a bright smile, fresh breath, and an overall good feeling of personal security. Prevention is your insurance policy toward a healthier, pain-free and happier lifestyle.

Our hygienists will customize a personal home and periodontal (gum) maintenance program for you, and inform you of those dental products which are appropriate for your particular needs. Remember it’s not just a cleaning, it’s an INVESTMENT in your overall health!

• Restorative Care
Restorative Dentistry is indicated when teeth must be restored to their original structure by the use of direct and indirect restorative materials. Specific conditions that determine the need for restorative dentistry include:

– Inital or recurring decay(cavities)
– Replacement or failed restorations
– Abrasion or wearing away of tooth structure.
– Erosion of tooth structure

• Digital X-rays
During your visit the dentist may prescribe X-rays. The decision to request X-rays is based on your individual dental history, risks, and symptoms.
Dental X-rays may reveal:
• Abscesses or cysts
• Bone loss
• Cancerous and non-cancerous tumors
• Decay between the teeth
• Developmental abnormalities
• Poor tooth and root positions
• Problems inside a tooth or below the gum line

• Implant Dentistry
Dental implants are posts surgically placed into the upper or lower jawbone. They replace one or more teeth that are next to each other. Implants are an effective way to replace missing natural teeth. When teeth are lost because of disease or an accident, dental implants may be a good option.

• Crowns
A crown is a dental restoration that covers a tooth to restore it to its normal shape, size and function. Its purpose is to strengthen or improve the appearance of a tooth.
A crown can:
• Restore a tooth when there isn’t enough tooth remaining to provide support for a large filling
• Protect a weak tooth from fracturing
• Restore a fractured tooth

• Bridges
A bridge is a dental restoration that replaces or spans the space where one or more teeth have been lost. The loss of a tooth may cause your remaining teeth to shift.

• Pediatric Dentistry
We recommend that your child visit the dentist starting at age one (1). Regular dental visits are essential for healthy smiles. During a dental visit, the dentist will check your child’s mouth for gum and tooth health.

• Root Canal Treatment
The pulp is soft tissue inside the tooth that contains blood vessels and nerves. When the pulp is diseased or injured and unable to repair itself, it dies. The most common causes of pulp death are a cracked tooth, a deep cavity, problems with large fillings, or serious injury to the tooth. All of these can allow bacteria to enter into the pulp.

• Extractions
Sometimes, teeth need to be removed due to decay, disease or trauma. Having a tooth “pulled” is called a tooth extraction. When you have an extraction, it’s natural that changes will occur in your mouth. Your dentist may give you instructions to follow after extraction and it’s important to talk to your dentist if you have any questions or problems.

• Oral Cancer Screening
During you dental visits our dentist and dental hygienist check your face, neck and mouth for lumps, red or white patches, or recurring sore areas. Screening for early changes in your mouth, as well as your face and neck, can help detect cancer at a stage when it can be more successfully treated.

• Emergency Care
If you have a life-threatening or severe injury, call 911 or go directly to the nearest hospital emergency room. We can treat a variety of traumatic dental injuries, including teeth that have been chipped, moved, or knocked out entirely. Please call our office for assistance.

• Smile Makeovers
We work with you regarding concerns or improvements you would like to make with your oral health. Please talk with your dentist and dental hygienist with any concerns you may have.
